Jeremy works for a leading police force as a Special Inspector and an accredited investigator, with both operational and investigative experience, leading an award-winning team for over 17 years. In 2016, Jeremy and his team won a prestigious Home Office Award for their police investigative work. Furthermore, Jeremy has a proactive role on a pan-London police ethics panel and is also the Deputy Commander of the Honourable Artillery Company Detachment of Special Constabulary, where he is building fraternal links with multiple North American law enforcement agencies with the aim of sharing best practice in voluntary policing roles.

For his ‘day job’ Jeremy has worked for London Underground for over 29 years, covering a wide range of operational and planning functions with in-depth knowledge across multiple disciplines. He currently acts in a Command and Control role, managing the engineering response to incidents on the railway. He is a lead incident investigator for London Underground, an Accredited Agent for the Rail Accident Investigation Branch and holds a BSc in Railway Operations Management and an MSc in Rail Safety and Accident Investigation. Jeremy’s recent research has focussed on the efficacy of corporate safety investigations and investigators from the perspective of the safety practitioner.

Jeremy holds several professional memberships, notably, fellowship of the Chartered Management Institute, full membership of the Institution of Railway Operations, Chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and is a graduate member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. He is also a member of the International Police Association and a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management.
